Thank you everyone who voted and returned me for another 4 years on the Parish Council, unfortunately I didn't make the cut for Borough Council, a heavy political vote denied me the opportunity to ensure West End and Bisley had excellent representation.
I have chosen this medium to communicate to be more comprehensive, reduce the environmental impact of having a glossy double-page A4 leaflet, and of course the expense due to not having a party political machine behind me with election funds and associated resources. I am not a fan of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and the rest, I prefer to engage directly with people when they need my help.
Being an Independent Councillor, the residents are top of my pecking order with no donors or party hierarchy setting or influencing my agenda.
There will be no Westminster-style attacks on my fellow political party councillors or prospective candidates. That would just be a waste of effort, instead I prefer to engage with colleagues constructively for the benefit of the community. Local Councillors are about what can be done in our community as opposed to national politics.
Being a Councillor is rewarding if you desire to preserve, protect and enhance your living environment to ensure the Villages are a great place to live. If you feel enthused by the prospect I am more than happy to help you stand as an Independent candidate in the future, just drop me a line or call for a chat about an exciting opportunity.
During my time as a Councillor I have worked with Parish, Borough and County Councillors on delivering the following that I have instigated or supported for the benefit of the Ward.
